Console - Geodetic UI - Only update active Template DB

Use Case

We are working with an active Common Files Folder as we store all our Template DB file in there and our Default Displays (and QGFvom???).
Since Qinsy 9 we are confronted with many questions and warning when

• Changing the Geodetic Settings of a project

• Creating a new project,

All Templates are updated with new Geodetic Settings, this is not needed when not being an active template.

When only updating the Active Template we do not get the warning for each Template to check to datum selection for each Positioning System

When Recorded DB files are detected with different Geodetic Settings, this will only have impact when replaying the data. Would it be more logical to leave this check in Replay?

Suggested Improvement

1. Existing project changing Geodetic Settings

   • Only the active template DB should be updated with new Geodetic Settings.

   • Recorded DB's should not be altered.

     • This check should be done in Replay (Raw Data Manager)

2. Creating a new project

   • Only the active template DB should be updated with new Geodetic Settings.

   • Recorded DB's should not be altered.

     • This check should be done in Replay (Raw Data Manager)

3. After creating a new project

   • When selecting a different Template DB as Active Template its Geodetic Settings should be checked against the Project Settings and warning should be given when applicable
